Asset tokenization · In formation

Value,
made divisible.

Most of the world's value sits in things that cannot be split, cannot be sold quickly, and cannot be verified without a lawyer. to.fan is being built to change the format: ownership that divides, transfers and settles like information.

01 / Thesis

A tokenized asset is not a new asset.
It is the same asset, finally legible to a market.

i

Divisibility

A single building, painting or portfolio becomes a thousand positions. Ownership stops being all‑or‑nothing, and the buyer pool stops being the handful of people who can write the whole cheque.

ii

Liquidity

Markets appear where none existed. An asset that took eighteen months and three intermediaries to sell can change hands in an afternoon, and be priced continuously in between.

iii

Provenance

Title, history, rights and restrictions recorded once and verifiable by anyone, forever. The record stops living in a filing cabinet and starts travelling with the asset.

02 / Scope

Where value is locked.

The thesis is deliberately asset‑agnostic. The hard problems (custody, legal wrapper, transfer restriction, price discovery, redemption) are close to identical across every class. What differs is which market is ready first. That choice is being made now.

03 / Approach

Four moves, in order.

  1. Structure. The legal wrapper comes first. A token that does not carry an enforceable claim is a souvenir.
  2. Digitize. Issue on rails that regulators can read: permissioned transfer, identity at the edge, compliance in the instrument itself.
  3. Distribute. Reach the holders who could never reach the asset, in the size they can actually take.
  4. Exchange. Continuous price where there used to be an appraisal every three years. This is the part that makes the other three worth doing.

04 / Contact

to.fan is early. That is the point.

If you own something illiquid, build the infrastructure, invest at this stage, or regulate this space, the conversation is more useful now than later.
